Opportunities

Molina and possibly Amerigroup will be exiting the NM Market for 2024. Molina has 4286 members in HMO plans.
Other carriers will be terming PPO plans in Wellcare counties like Humana and Cigna. Cigna has 3,760 in PPO, Humana has 35,969 members on a LPPO.
Gerald Champion Hospital termed their contract with Humana and has informed their clients that Wellcare is an accepted carrier. This will affect Otero County. Humana has 2,766 members in Otero county

Challenge: Optum is in the process is contracting small but important health facilities taking them out of the Wellcare network.

Other DSNP Health plans have not published an 2024 benefits or plan details. TBD for BCBS and Presbyterian.
Presbyterian currently offers unlimited transportation for clients living in rural areas. OTC benefits for BCBS and Pres is quarterly.
