Creating Patterns
In this activity, you will use scissors to cut shapes and arrange them to make different patterns.
You will need:
3 sheets of different �colored paper
Scissors
Glue or tape
Creating Patterns: Cutting
Start by cutting some long strips to make different sized rectangles.
Cut some of your rectangles into squares.
Cut some of your squares into triangles.
Creating Patterns: Arranging Patterns
A pattern is a design where shapes or colors repeat over and over again.
Fold your background paper in half.
Arrange your shapes to create a different pattern �on each half of the background paper.
