Animation Creation

Step 4: Create a new slide, blank this time by clicking the down arrow by the plus sign and choosing blank.

Notes

Now you can just click the plus sign and all new slides will be blank

Step 2: Insert a shape from the “shape” menu. Click and drag your mouse to create it until it is the size that you want.

Step 3: Manipulate the shape. The yellow circles change the shape, while the blue squares just change the size. The blue circle will tilt the shape.

Step 1: Create a new slideshow with the “simple light” theme. Clear the text boxes from it by selecting them (if you drag your mouse a box will appear. Move the box over the text boxes) and using the backspace button to delete them.

Step 8: Return to your first slide, and insert an image. You can use a google image search or select an image from your computer. Once you’ve clicked on your image to highlight it blue, click select.

Notes

Remember to copy it fresh each time so when you paste it, it’s in the exact spot it was on the last slide so you can move it from there!

Step 5: Copy the shape (select it and use the keyboard, command c), and paste it into the next slide (command v).

Step 6: Move the shape slightly by clicking and dragging.

Step 7: Copy the shape again and continue pasting it into new slides, moving it slightly in the same direction. Do this for ten slides. (HINT remember to copy it each time so when you paste into the new slide the shape will be in the spot you last put it, and you can just move it slightly from there) When you click through the slides it will create the illusion that the shape is moving across the screen.

Step 12: Move them so they overlap another shape, and bring the other shape to the front by selecting the shape you wish to bring to the front, control clicking, selecting order, and clicking “bring to front.”

Step 9: Crop the image using a shape from the drop down menu beside the crop icon, and resize your image in the same way you did your shape.

Step 10: Move your cropped image across across the ten slides using the same method that you used with the shape.

Step 11: Return to your first slide and insert another shape several times, and group them together so you can move them as a group while you’re animating. To group them, select them all by dragging a box over all of them. Then control click, and select group from the menu that appears. Now when you click them, they are all selected and will move together.

Step 13: Change the background of one slide by clicking Slide, change background, and then selecting a color or image. If you want to change the background for just the slide selected, click done, and to change the game for all the slides click apply to all.

Step 14: To publish your animation, select publish to the web from the file menu.

Step 15: Change auto advance slide to every second, and click publish.

Step 16: Copy the link, and paste it in a new tab. Delete one zero from the end of the link (this will make your animation faster and smoother). Click enter, and view your presentation.
