• Skills training is vital to ensuring you are competent at your job role; whether delivered in a classroom, kitchen, studio or workshop your skills will set you apart.

Functional skills

• If you haven't already achieved in English & Maths, functional skills are included to support you to achieve these qualifications.

• Day release – one day a week at college / 36 weeks per year
• Block release – multiple days at college for specific duration

Cognassist

As part of your 6-week induction process, we will support you with an assessment through Cognassist and recommend a programme tailored to your individual needs. Cognassist is all about increasing opportunities for you, and removing barriers in education

College Resources

• Access to extensive careers information, advice and guidance, including progression opportunities
• Full access to our Learning Resource Centre, including loans of hard-copy as well as e-books
• Our café, which has a large selection of food and drinks, with choices for all cultures
• Opportunities to book hair and beauty treatments at very reasonable prices
• College restaurant, serving two- and three-course meals
• Enrichment activities, including Black History Month events
