Education~I earned my teaching degree from Northeastern Illinois University.

Teaching Background:

This is my 2nd year teaching in D54. Before D54, I taught 4th grade for 4 years..

  • We recognize the importance of our students’ social emotional health, especially during this time. District 54 is committed to ensuring students receiving daily SEL lessons. We are looking forward to supporting and building meaningful relationships our students virtually!

  • Daily Social Emotional Learning lessons cover character development (8 keys), Happiness Advantage, and social skills (perspective taking, ownership, etc.)

How will we support your sixth grader?

  • We will provide a routine for completing daily assignments
  • We will start each with morning meeting to explain the daily assignments and expectations
  • Remind your child to check their Google Classroom throughout the day for updates
  • We are here to help throughout the day via email and google classroom!

How will YOU support your sixth grader?

  • Help them set up their morning routine so they are fed / dressed and ready to learning at 8:30

  • Provide a quiet distraction free learning environment.

  • Print out the schedule so they have specific times for different classes.
  • Remind your child to check their Google Classroom throughout the day for updates.
  • If they have questions, remind them to email us.
