Tyler Tysdal
Tyler Tysdal
Tyler Tysdal is a resident of Denver, Colorado and is an entrepreneur for life who discovered the joys and challenges of self-employment at the age of 14. Tyler T. Tysdal, also known as "Ty", was a collector and trader of baseball cards. His budding entrepreneurial spirit spurred his creation of Triple Tysdal's Sports Collectibles, a national mail-order trading card and memorabilia company that grew to a large audience through ads in trade magazines.
In the midst of market inefficiencies, which were common during the pre-internet age, a teenager Tyler Tysdal experienced his first major business success with 14,000 dollars in profit per month as the result. This was quite a sum for a teenager. He was hit while he was riding with his mom at the postal office to mail dozens of card shipments The boy would probably become an entrepreneur and an investor throughout his life.
Now, fast forward thirty yearsTyler Tysdal And Tysdal's initial prediction of lifelong self employment is never more precise. As a co-founder and managing director at the Freedom Factory, a Denver-based organization Freedom Factory, Tyler Tysdal assists fellow entrepreneurs across all over the United States sell their businesses at the highest value, as they prepare to move on to the next stage of their life.
At Freedom Factory, Tyler Tysdal's decades spent as an operator, an investment banker SEC professional, and investor in private equity funds will be put to be used to help fellow entrepreneurs following his same path. Possessing experience with more than 50 businesses and the exits they made, Tyler Tysdal is an Entrepreneur's entrepreneur. He knows the hurdles business owners face and the anxieties that keep them up in the night, and the victories that propel them forward - because he's been through these, too.
Tyler Tysdal developed his credentials through paying his debts (and being attentive) throughout the process. He began his career in investment banking after earning a degree in finance from Georgetown University. While at Alex Brown & Sons, Tyler primarily worked on mergers and acquisitions (buying and selling private businesses) and raising equity and debt capital for businesses with new investors, which included going public with them through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) process.
As an investment banker, Tyler Tysdal recalls sitting across the table with CEOs and founders from some of the most famous firms and wishing that he was in their place. He learned about the complexities of valuations, financial modeling and the best way to sell companies to raise capital. However, he also realized that there was a lot of disconnect among investment bankers as well as the entrepreneurs. Bankers very rarely experience the anxiety of not receiving their pay or other worries that are all too common for business owners.
Through this experience, Tysdal learned he wanted to be the entrepreneur not a banker working with investors.
Following investment banking, Tysdal went on to pursue a formal business education through attending Harvard Business School (HBS) to pursue his Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
As an entrepreneur to his heart, Tysdal stood out among his peers. He realizes that today it is not necessary to have the luxury of an MBA at Harvard to become successful as an entrepreneur, however, he values the inspiration he received from his brilliant fellow students at the school and the training helped him advance his entrepreneurial pursuits and build his expertise to assist others who are entrepreneurs.
With his extensive experience in investing and business, his MBA in hand , and an entrepreneurial mindset, Tyler Tysdal set out to test his business acumen. the test.
Over the years , he has founded or funded a myriad of companies that span from innovative to ambitious such as:
A network of acute-care healthcare clinics, which are part of Walmart stores.
A company that specializes in providing storage facilities for recreational vehicles.
A luxury sports suite club which rented suites at the best sports facilities.
Organic fertilizer manufacturer which broke the code of technology for organic farming and expanded its operations across Eastern United States.
A company that has a focus on quality home bedding with a visionary social mission for the purpose of helping "end bedlessness" by donating mattresses to people in need for every 10 mattresses the company sold.
Over the years, Tysdal has been an managing partner and owner of venture capital firms, and has worked as an entrepreneur raising capital for his own private firms at times. Tysdal began his career in the field of investment banking, working in Initial Public Offerings (IPO's) as well as mergers and acquisitions. Tysdal has been on the buy-side as well as the sell-side and also as an agent for deals with companies ranging from $100,000 to over $1 billion.
An investor in his own right, Ty has managed assets and has also backed financial backing for numerous other investors and entrepreneurs. Ty has managed or co-managed around $1.7 billion for wealthy families and helped to create many millions of fortunes for the private equity investor he invests in.
In the end, however, it all comes to the entrepreneurial spirit of Tyler Tysdal. He understands that self-starters generate jobs and wealth, and stand as the most powerful generator of economic success in all of the United States and in global markets. Freedom is a card with much worth.
Tysdal's passion in business results in two main themes:
Tysdal loves Entrepreneurs. They earn it!
Tysdal is passionate about helping entrepreneurs reach their personal and financial goals by selling their business for maximum value, often for the biggest check of their life.
Tyler Tysdal Has Earned Freedom To spend time with Family
Tyler Tysdal's passion for business is just as intense as it was during that trip to the post office with his mother several years ago. Tysdal wants to "free the entrepreneurs" as his own experience has freed him throughout his life. When he's not meeting with business owners or talking to potential business buyers, Tysdal spends time with his wife, Natalie Tysdal (a fomer Fox news journalist), and their three kids in the Denver area.
