Our mission is to create joyful, connected learning experiences for students on a platform that supports how they think, learn, and grow. Young learners need more than just time on devices - they need movement, and multiple ways to experience and engage with content.
Seesaw gives students a place to show what they know in whatever format works best for them - they can see their own progress, reflect on their learning, and celebrate success, fostering excitement and engagement in a safe, supportive environment. AI can’t provide this same experience.
There is SO MUCH about teaching and learning that cannot be replaced by a machine. What is going on at home, what students walk in the door with, what just happened at lunch or recess - teachers can take into account the unique needs, emotions, and feelings a student might have. Seesaw also gives students an authentic audience where peers, teachers, and families can see and leave comments on their work.

We treat the new age of AI with care, especially with our littlest learners. Kindergarten is not the time to have a student interacting directly with AI. But it is the time to start teaching about what AI is, and helping them develop skills for responsible use of AI when they go to interact with it. That is what our AI Literacy lessons aim to do.
We recognize the critically important aspects of the educator and their deeply intellectual and ethical role in using AI. They know their students best and can adjust recommednations based on the individual, review grading to check for bias, make adjustments on the fly. Seesaw always gives you the option to step in and edit, override, etc.
Teachers can understand the thought process a student used to reach their final answer - helping to spot misconceptions and where the student lost their way in Seesaw vs. a bot reading a final answer. The human can pick up on nuances, hesitations, and the genuine moments of insight that only an educator can recognize.
