The word frustration has been derived from a Latin word ‘Frusta’ means ‘obstruct’.
Frustration is common emotional response to be perceived as resistance to the fulfillment of an individual’s goals.

This type of frustration results within the individual, due to personal inadequacies and when person have competing goals.
Example: Lack of confidence, fear of social rejection.
It involves the condition which exists outside the individual and he cannot control.
Example: Standing in line, in traffic, roadblocks.

CHAPTER SUMMARY
Conflict is a form of intense interpersonal and intrapersonal dissonance between two or more independent parties based on incompatible goals, needs, desires, values, beliefs and attitudes. Approach-approach conflict arises when a person faces the problem of selecting among two or more equally attractive goals which are mutually exclusive. Multiple approach-avoidance conflict involves with several goals with positive and negative values leading to emotional reactions. Frustration is the blocking and interference of the satisfaction of an aroused need through some barriers or obstruction.
