The High School and Beyond Plan(HSBP) must be completed or updated each year 9th-12th grade. This is a Graduation Requirement. Please contact your counselor if you have any questions or concerns.

What is it and How do I use it?

The High School & Beyond Plan revolves around three questions:

  1. Who am I?
  2. What do I want to be?
  3. How do I get there?

The High School & Beyond Plan is a graduation requirement.

After High School options include four-year colleges, two-year community or technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, military training, or on-the-job training.

My Goals/ How Will I Get There

“My Goals” section will help you work on career and educational goals and helps answers the question “How Will I Get There”. These sections are going to help you think about your interests and possibilities for a future career. Remember this is only starting to brainstorm and record those thoughts and ideas, you can always change and update this later anytime you want. If you haven’t taken the career interest inventory do this first

Career Interest Inventory(Link)- If you need help with ideas for a career take this career interest inventory. It will help you narrow down your interests and give you some ideas about some careers that might interest you.

Four Year Course Plan

The Four Year Course Plan section is a part of the High School and Beyond Plan that answers the question “How will I get there?” in regards to your plans after you graduate. You will use the Four Year Course Planning tool to select the High School courses that will help you, “get there” in regards to your post high school education and career.
