Hale Kula Elementary
Hale Kula Elementary hosted a coding family event during computer science education week to introduce students and parents to multiple types of coding and to provide resources for parents beyond Hour of Code.
Left: A game map for our student participants. This also provides a glimpse of the different stations and activities. DevLeague, Hawaii Game Truck, Code.org to name a few. Most of the stations were facilitated by student volunteers from Hale Kula Elementary, Leilehua High School, and Mililani Middle School; teachers; parents; and soldiers.

Kaahumanu students will learn how to code their own dances in tech lab. Then, “Code yo’ choreo” contest will search for the next dance to add to the W, Th, F morn dance lineup.
