Hamilton County: Most Competitive Ballots in the State

In a year that was extremely hard on the incumbent party, Indiana was one of only 4 states that managed to hold onto their democratic seats. This includes our very own, Representative Victoria Garcia Wilburn.

44,000 Hamilton County Democratic Voters Reached by 235 Super Volunteers

HamCo Dems 2024 Get Out The Vote campaign was the largest

county wide effort ever. GOTV supplemented candidates’ campaign efforts and directly impacted general election voter turnout. Hamilton County canvassed the most doors in the state, besting all other counties for the 2nd year in a row.

In 2024, voter turnout in HamCo was 71%, one of the highest county voter turnouts in the state!

    • Positions included in the 5th Congressional District Central Committee:
      • Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer
    • The Central Committee is responsible for:
      • Promoting 5th Congressional District candidates
      • Electing the Indiana Democratic State Central Committee

The district committee shall consist of the county chairs and vice chairs of each of the counties comprising the district. The officers of that committee shall be known as the “district central committee.”

    • The Central Committee is the Democratic governing body for the state of Indiana.

This State Committee consist of the elected and appointed officers of the committee, the district chairs and vice chairs, National Committee members from Indiana, representative(s) of each recognized caucus who carry one total vote on the Committee, and other appointed voting and non- voting officers as nominated by the State Chair and ratified by the State Central Committee.
