No diálogo da atividade anterior, ouvimos Mike e Tina descrevendo as fotos que seus amigos postaram no Instagram. �Vamos relembrar o que cada amigo estava fazendo no momento em que a foto foi tirada:

Sarah: “She’s at a grocery store picking out fresh fruits and veggies.”

Mark: “He’s at a restaurant eating what looks like an amazing plate of pasta.”

Emily: “She’s at a park having a picnic with her family.”

Nesses exemplos, Mike e Tina estão descrevendo o que seus amigos estão fazendo naquele momento, para isso usam o present continuous, que é utilizado para descrever ações em progresso.

Para a construção do present continuous, precisamos utilizar o verbo be (is, are, am) e o verbo principal com a terminação -ing.  Vamos analisar nos exemplos:

Foco no conteúdo

Sarah: “She’s (is) at a grocery store picking out fresh fruits and veggies.”

Mark: “He’s (is) at a restaurant eating what looks like an amazing plate of pasta.”
