The Imagine, Believe, Achieve PD modules are designed to extend learning that began during summer PD on key priorities and strategies in literacy and numeracy across content areas. The modules are:

  • Small Group Instruction and Critical Media Literacy in all Disciplines
  • Data Driven Teaching and Learning
  • Finding Joy in Learning

The goal of these modules is to provide the why, what and some suggestions for the how. School site Principals and ILTs are encouraged to continue with the PDSA cycle for each PD topic after it is presented, specifically working on the Do, Study, Act.

Per state guidelines, professional development specific to Emergent Bilinguals (EBs) must be provided in all schools. Multicultural Educational Department (MMED) will provide the following modules:

  1. Understanding a Comprehensive ELD Program
  2. Understanding the Essential Instructional Approaches for Emergent Bilinguals (2 part series)
  3. Emergent Bilingual Progress Monitoring Assessments

  • iReady optional Banked Time PD sessions and “Fridays with i-Ready Office Hours” are available to support the implementation

  • Principals may elect to enroll their staff in the OPTIONAL Bank Time offerings and include them in their professional development plan. Sessions will be hosted virtually via Zoom. These sessions are intended to be viewed whole group with the school designee logging in and projecting the Zoom session
