Dismissal

Students will only be dismissed to adults whose name is on the list. Check to make sure that I have all necessary names on my list.

Reading

Students will be learning letters and letter sounds.

We will explore fiction and non-fiction books and identify front cover, back cover, spine, title and title page.

Writing

Students will use words and pictures combined with print concepts to produce writing about what we read. The focus is on writing their names.

Math

Students will explore the concept of same and different: (Same size, same shape, same color)

Students will demonstrate one-to-one correspondence and count to 3 objects

Social Studies

Students will explain rules, rights and responsibilities at school, home and in their local community. Students will demonstrate how to follow directions.

Science

Students will discover safety rules and explore the different types of weather and seasons. We will also investigate the five senses.

Technology

Students will use different platforms on Chromebook to retrieve their lessons: Clever and Zearn.

Homework:

  1. Read to your child EVERYDAY!
  2. Practice writing your name.
  3. Practice tying your shoes.
  4. Practice coloring in the lines.
  5. SIng the alphabet song.
  6. Count objects in your home: Windows, doors, cups, spoons, hangers, shoes

Sargent Shriver Elementary School wants to keep our parents informed. We use Google Translate to translate our notes home to you. If our translated documents are hard to understand, please contact the office at 240-740-6330. Thank you!

MCPS requires that blankets for naps NOT be stored in plastic bags,

Please be sure to send in a tote bag for nap supplies, if you have not yet.

We have a field trip coming up very soon.

Parents who have completed the required training by September 18 will be able to chaperone. If you have not yet completed the training, please contact Ms. Karen Rivera in the office for help.

Los estudiantes solo serán enviados a

Lectura

Los estudiantes aprenderán letras y sonidos de letras.

Exploraremos libros de ficción y no ficción e identificaremos la portada, la contraportada, el lomo, el título y la página del título.

Escritura

Los estudiantes usarán palabras e imágenes combinadas con conceptos impresos para producir escritos sobre lo que leemos. La atención se centra en escribir sus nombres.

Matematicas

Los estudiantes explorarán el concepto de igual y diferente: (mismo tamaño, misma forma, mismo color)

Los estudiantes demostrarán correspondencia uno a uno y contarán hasta 3 objetos.

Estudios Sociales

Los estudiantes explicarán las reglas, procedimientos y responsabilidades en la escuela, el hogar y en su comunidad local. Los estudiantes demostrarán cómo seguir instrucciones.

Ciencias

Los estudiantes descubrirán las reglas de seguridad y explorarán los diferentes tipos de clima y estaciones. También investigaremos los cinco sentidos.

Tecnologia

Los estudiantes usarán diferentes plataformas en Chromebook para recuperar sus lecciones: Clever and Zearn

Tarea:

  1. ¡Lea con su hijo TODOS LOS DÍAS!
  2. Practica escribiendo su nombre.
  3. Práctica atarte los zapatos.
  4. Práctica colorear las líneas.
  5. Cante la canción del alfabeto.
  6. Cuente los objetos de su hogar: ventanas, puertas, tazas, cucharas, perchas, zapatos
