  • Implement evidence-based practices for prevention, treatment and aftercare support to improve long-term outcomes.

CCBHC UPDATE

Key NM Accomplishments: 

    • Implemented provider Learning Collaborative
    • Established draft PPS rates 
    • Finalized CCBHC program criteria and service codes
    • Developed a joint certification and review process for prospective Demonstration CCBHCs. 
    • Provisionally certified 6 CCBHCs (eligible to enter the Demo in year 1):

Next Steps/Timeline 

    • Finalize PPS rates and cost model and project CCBHC program costs: May 2024
    • Reconvene Provider Learning Collaborative: May – December 2024 
    • Fully certify CCBHCs: April – November 2024 
    • Develop data collection and reporting systems: April – November 2024
    • Develop statutory, policy, and regulatory guidance: April – Nov 2024. 
    • MCO Letter of Direction and Provider Supplement: Oct 1, 2024.

STRENGTHEN AND EXPAND THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WORKFORCE

  • Focus on streamlining provider credentialing process (work with Medical Board, MCOs and RLD)
  • Focus on rural/underserved areas
  • Explore options for career ladders (CPSW)
  • Increase use of EBPs by providing free training, ongoing support and by providing expanded rates for 5 EBPs (FFT, MST, EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT)
