Since we last met...

Governor’s executive order:

  • Schools may not open for in-person instruction until the county meets the reopening metrics:
    • Need to be off of the state monitoring list for 14 days
    • Required testing in place (recommended 50 percent of school employees every month, rotating testing of all staff over time)

Governor’s Order (continued)

Once open,

  • Reclosure scenarios:
    • A classroom cohort goes home to be quarantined when there is a confirmed case in the cohort (student or staff)
    • A school site may close when there are multiple cases in multiple cohorts at a school or when at least 5 percent of the total number of teachers, students, and staff are cases within a 14-day period, depending on the size of the physical layout of the school. A school site may reopen after 14-days with the following conditions:
  • Cleaning and disinfection
  • Public health investigation
