Apprentice Progress Reviews (APRs)

These tri-partite meetings will be scheduled by the SHU Work Based Learning Coach using MAYTAS Hub to enable the Apprentice and their employer to attend.

Apprenticeship Progress Reviews must take place every 12 weeks as a minimum, as a requirement of the Apprenticeship Funding. There are typically four in a year, one of which will be in the work place (restrictions permitting).

The overall purpose of the reviews is explained in this video. Please Note. From September 2022, for new starters after that date, references to “Commitment Statement” should be taken to mean “Training Plan”.

They are a crucial process for Apprenticeship success. Here is some further detail on format and frequency.
