WEEKLY ASSIGNMENT SHOWCASE
Every week you will see this star on one content area slide. This signifies that there is an activity that will require you to interact. This interaction may be in the form of a discussion with the mentor teacher, it may be to submit something, or it could be peer to peer feedback and interaction.
This week you will notice the assignment showcase focuses on Physical Education. We are excited to talk about how this particular form of exercise can help you as a learner.
MATH

Mrs. Somero has emailed you and your parents information in regards to a site called XtraMath. Here is the link that has been emailed.
https://xtramath.org/#/signin/student_other
In addition, you should keep an eye out for a 4 digit PIN number in that email as well.
This site will guide students in repetitive fact practice for addition, subtraction, multiplication, dividing.
READING
Continue working in PathBlazer as part of your Learning Path based off of your NWEA scores.
Last week I asked you to pick a “good fit” book of your choice. Something that could sustain your interest while not being too easy or too hard.
Over the next couple of weeks we will work on a project called Matchbox Chapter Summaries. This is similar to a book report but summaries are broken down by chapters, as opposed to the entire book. Read detailed directions here.
If the book you are reading doesn’t have chapters, you could do sections of pages. Take note of the Rubric on page 2 of the directions.
This activity should be completed by Nov 13th and a picture shared with your mentor teacher, Mrs. Somero (asomero@frankfort.k12.mi.us)

ART/MUSIC/GYM
Get up and join Ms. Vicki and her dance crew for this week’s physical education activity!
Did you know dance can help build your child’s social and emotional well being?
-Non verbal communication such as body language expresses emotion.
-Dance and movement allow students to explore how emotions are shown and felt in their bodies.
Talk with your mentor teacher about today’s dance with Ms. Vicki.
How did it make you feel? Happy, sad, energized, frustrated? Why do you think that is? How could you use music and dance to help you learn?
