What is AVHSC?

  • What is Alta Vista Home and School Club?�
  • Alta Vista Home & School Club (AVHSC) is a not-for-profit organization whose sole mission is to provide enrichment opportunities for Alta Vista students – supplementing the school’s core curriculum and making the elementary school experience richer for both students and parents.

  • An elected board of parent volunteers, the Alta Vista principal and teacher representatives govern AVHSC.

What does the C.A.G.E. Drive Fund?

  • The AVHSC funds what is not otherwise funded by the District.
    • Includes Everything from PE and Music instruction, to fundamental safety needs like Crossing Guards.

  • Average AVHSC spending from 2017 through 2020 was $199,500 on Enrichment and other needed programs at the school.

  • This year we are estimating $211,700

  • There are 3 Donation Levels to choose from (Donation Levels are per Student)
    • Bobcat: $100
    • Cougar: $250 (Includes a free Keychain)
    • Tiger: $500 (Includes a free AV Glow in the dark T-shirt or a tote bag)
