Under the Terebinth Tree .. I Saw You

و أتى ملاك الرب و جلس تحت البطمة التي في عفرة التي ليواش الأبيعزري. وابنه جدعون كان يخبط حنطة في المعصرة لكي يهربها من المديانيين. فظهر له ملاك الرب و قال له: "الرب معك يا جبار البأس."

Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.

And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!"

فقال له جدعون: "أسألك يا سيدي اذا كان الرب معنا فلماذا أصابتنا كل هذه؟ وأين كل عجائبه التي أخبرنا بها آباؤنا قائلين: ألم يصعدنا الرب من مصر؟ والان قد رفضنا الرب وجعلنا في كف مديان." فالتفت إليه الرب وقال: "اذهب بقوتك هذه و خلص إسرائيل من كف مديان. أما أرسلتك؟"

Gideon said to Him, "O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, 'Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?' But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites." Then the LORD turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?"

فقال له: "أسألك يا سيدي بماذا أخلص إسرائيل؟ ها عشيرتي هي الذلى في منسى وأنا الأصغر في بيت أبي." فقال له الرب: "إني أكون معك و ستضرب المديانيين كرجل واحد." (قض 6 : 11 – 16)

So he said to Him, "O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house." And the LORD said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man." (Jud 6 : 11 – 16)

I Saw You .. Mighty Man of Valor

فظهر له ملاك الرب وقال له: "الرب معك يا جبار البأس." فقال له جدعون: "أسألك يا سيدي اذا كان الرب معنا فلماذا أصابتنا كل هذه؟ وأين كل عجائبه التي أخبرنا بها أباؤنا قائلين: ألم يصعدنا الرب من مصر؟ والآن قد رفضنا الرب و جعلنا في كف مديان."

And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!" فالتفت إليه الرب وقال: "اذهب بقوتك هذه وخلص إسرائيل من كف مديان. أما أرسلتك؟" فقال له أسألك يا سيدي بماذا أخلص إسرائيل؟ ها عشيرتي هي الذلى في منسى وأنا الأصغر في بيت أبي." (قض 6 : 12 – 15)

Then the LORD turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?" So he said to Him, "O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house." (Jud 6 : 12 – 15)

رأيتك .. جبار بأس

رغم صغر سنك وعشيرتك

Despite of your youth and your clan

رغم قلة خبراتك

Despite your lack of experience

رغم ضعفاتك وسذاجتك

Despite your weaknesses and simplicity

رأيتك .. متسائلا فأجبتك

I Saw You .. Questioning, So I Answered You

فقال له جدعون: "أسألك يا سيدي اذا كان الرب معنا فلماذا أصابتنا كل هذه؟ وأين كل عجائبه التي أخبرنا بها أباؤنا قائلين: ألم يصعدنا الرب من مصر؟ والآن قد رفضنا الرب و جعلنا في كف مديان." (قض 6 : 13)

Gideon said to Him, "O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, 'Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?' But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites." (Jud 6 ; 13)

لماذا أصابتنا كل هذه ؟!

الله يرى في المتشكك قوة ورجاء

Why then has all this happened to us?!

God sees strength and hope, in the doubter

الشاب الغنى .. ماذا يعوزني بعد؟!

The young man ..

What do I still lack?

أيوب .. شفيع المتألمين

Job .. The intercessor for those in pain

رأيتك .. متسائلا فأجبتك

I Saw You .. Questioning, So I Answered You

فقال له: "أسألك يا سيدي بماذا أخلص إسرائيل؟ ها عشيرتي هي الذلى في منسى وأنا الأصغر في بيت أبي. فقال له: "الرب اني أكون معك وستضرب المديانيين كرجل واحد." (قض 6 : 15 – 16)

So he said to Him, "O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house." And the LORD said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.“

رأيتك .. قويًا ومخلصًا لجيلك

I Saw You .. Strong and Faithful to Your Generation

فقال له الرب: "اذهب لأن هذا لي إناء مختار ليحمل اسمي أمام أمم و ملوك و بني إسرائيل." (اع 9 : 15)

But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.” (Act 9 : 15)

رأيتك .. قويًا ومخلصًا لجيلك

I Saw You .. Strong and Faithful to Your Generation

فقال الرب لي: "لا تقل إني ولد لأنك إلى كل من أرسلك إليه تذهب وتتكلم بكل ما آمرك به." <<<<<<<<< هأانذا قد جعلتك اليوم مدينة حصينة و عمود حديد وأسوار نحاس على كل الأرض لملوك يهوذا و لرؤسائها و لكهنتها و لشعب الارض. (ار 1 : 7 & 18)

But the LORD said to me: "Do not say, 'I am a youth,' For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. >>>>> For behold, I have made you this day A fortified city and an iron pillar, And bronze walls against the whole land -- Against the kings of Judah, Against its princes, Against its priests, And against the people of the land. (Jer 1 : 7 & 18)

فبعدما تغدوا قال يسوع لسمعان بطرس: "يا سمعان بن يونا أتحبني أكثر من هؤلاء؟" قال له: "نعم يا رب أنت تعلم اني أحبك." قال له: "ارع خرافي." (يو 21 : 15)

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs." (Joh 21 : 15)

"لا تبرح من ههنا حتى آتي إليك وأخرج تقدمتي وأضعها أمامك." فقال: "إني أبقى حتى ترجع." فدخل جدعون وعمل جدي معزى وايفة دقيق فطيرا. اما اللحم فوضعه في سل واما المرق فوضعه في قدر وخرج بها إليه الى تحت البطمة و قدمها.

"Do not depart from here, I pray, until I come to You and bring out my offering and set it before You." And He said, "I will wait until you come back". So Gideon went in and prepared a young goat, and unleavened bread from an ephah of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot; and he brought them out to Him under the terebinth tree and presented them.

فقال له ملاك الله: "خذ اللحم والفطير وضعهما على تلك الصخرة واسكب المرق." ففعل كذلك. فمد ملاك الرب طرف العكاز الذي بيده ومس اللحم والفطير فصعدت نار من الصخرة وأكلت اللحم والفطير و ذهب ملاك الرب عن عينيه. (قض 6 : 18 – 21)

The Angel of God said to him, "Take the meat and the unleavened bread and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth." And he did so. Then the Angel of the LORD put out the end of the staff that was in His hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened bread; and fire rose out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread. And the Angel of the LORD departed out of his sight. (Jud 6 : 18 – 21)

بالعشرة .. بالتقدمة

Through long companionship .. Through the offering

و قال جدعون لله: "إن كنت تخلص بيدي إسرائيل كما تكلمت، فها إني واضع جزة الصوف في البيدر فإن كان طل على الجزة وحدها وجفاف على الأرض كلها علمت أنك تخلص بيدي إسرائيل كما تكلمت."

So Gideon said to God, "If You will save Israel by my hand as You have said -- look, I shall put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that You will save Israel by my hand, as You have said."

و كان كذلك. فبكر في الغد وضغط الجزة وعصر طلا من الجزة ملء قصعة ماء. فقال جدعون لله: "لا يحم غضبك علي فأتكلم هذه المرة فقط. أمتحن هذه المرة فقط بالجزة. فليكن جفاف في الجزة وحدها و على كل الأرض ليكن طل."

And it was so. When he rose early the next morning and squeezed the fleece together, he wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowlful of water. Then Gideon said to God, "Do not be angry with me, but let me speak just once more: Let me test, I pray, just once more with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, but on all the ground let there be dew."

ففعل الله كذلك في تلك الليلة. فكان جفاف في الجزة وحدها و على الأرض كلها كان طل. (قض 6 : 36 – 40)

And God did so that night. It was dry on the fleece only, but there was dew on all the ground. (Jud 6 : 36 – 40)

رأيتك .. خاضعًا بالرغم من ..

I Saw You .. Submissive Despite of ..

و كان في تلك الليلة ان الرب قال له: "خذ ثور البقر الذي لأبيك وثورا ثانيا ابن سبع سنين واهدم مذبح البعل الذي لأبيك واقطع السارية التي عنده، وابن مذبحا للرب إلهك على رأس هذا الحصن بترتيب وخذ الثور الثاني واصعد محرقة على حطب السارية التي تقطعها."

Now it came to pass the same night that the LORD said to him, "Take your father's young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it; and build an altar to the LORD your God on top of this rock in the proper arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down."

فأخذ جدعون عشرة رجال من عبيده و عمل كما كلمه الرب. وإذ كان يخاف من بيت أبيه و أهل المدينة أن يعمل ذلك نهارا فعمله ليلا. (قض 6 : 25 – 27)

So Gideon took ten men from among his servants and did as the LORD had said to him. But because he feared his father's household and the men of the city too much to do it by day, he did it by night. (Jud 6 : 25 – 27)

فبكر أهل المدينة في الغد واذا بمذبح البعل قد هدم والسارية التي عنده قد قطعت والثور الثاني قد أصعد على المذبح الذي بني. فقالوا الواحد لصاحبه: "من عمل هذا الأمر؟" فسألوا وبحثوا فقالوا: "إن جدعون بن يوآش قد فعل هذا الأمر."

And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, there was the altar of Baal, torn down; and the wooden image that was beside it was cut down, and the second bull was being offered on the altar which had been built. So they said to one another, "Who has done this thing?" And when they had inquired and asked, they said, "Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing."

فقال أهل المدينة ليوآش: "أخرج ابنك لكي يموت، لأنه هدم مذبح البعل وقطع السارية التي عنده." فقال يوآش لجميع القائمين عليه: "أنتم تقاتلون للبعل، أم أنتم تخلصونه؟ من يقاتل له يقتل في هذا الصباح. إن كان إلها فليقاتل لنفسه لان مذبحه قد هدم."

Then the men of the city said to Joash, "Bring out your son, that he may die, because he has torn down the altar of Baal, and because he has cut down the wooden image that was beside it." But Joash said to all who stood against him, "Would you plead for Baal? Would you save him? Let the one who would plead for him be put to death by morning! If he is a god, let him plead for himself, because his altar has been torn down!"

رأيتك .. ترى ما لم تكن تراه

I Saw You .. Seeing What You Could Not See

فدعاه في ذلك اليوم "يربعل" قائلا: "ليقاتله البعل لأنه قد هدم مذبحه."

(قض 6 : 28 – 32)

Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, "Let Baal plead against him, because he has torn down his altar." (Jud 6 : 28 – 32)

الله يعمل بالقليل والضعيف

God works with the few and the weak

المشاكل بداية بركات وتغيير

Problems are the start of blessings and change

أبوك اللى خفت منه بيدافع عنك

Your father, whom you feared, is the one who defends you

واجتمع جميع المديانيين و العمالقة و بني المشرق معا وعبروا ونزلوا في وادي يزرعيل. ولبس روح الرب جدعون فضرب بالبوق فاجتمع أبيعزر وراءه.

Then all the Midianites and Amalekites, the people of the East, gathered together; and they crossed over and encamped in the Valley of Jezreel. But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him.

وأرسل رسلا إلى جميع منسى، فاجتمع هو أيضا وراءه وأرسل رسلا إلى أشير وزبولون ونفتالي فصعدوا للقائهم. (قض 6 : 33 – 35)

And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, who also gathered behind him. He also sent messengers to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali; and they came up to meet them. (Jud 6 : 33 – 35)
