OBADA PoC Code Status

Code is ready. Implementation includes:

  • A “real” blockchain.
  • Simple web UI’s for testing.
  • The “OBADA Identity Management System” (Phase 1) - but without the registrar.
  • Essentially a “Distributed Hash Ledger”. Only proofs stored, no metadata.

Demo will show

  • Authorized user adds a device to the blockchain (using OBADA Unique Device ID Schema)
  • Client Software PRovide a proof (a Certificate of Data Destruction) of an event happening to the device.
  • Creating a simple “Carfax”

Project Management Tools

Rohi evaluated multiple recommended https://app.asana.com/ as best for our needs.

  • Slack was suggested
    • but this is a chat based system mainly for instant communication, not a project management system. Like an alternate proprietary paid version of Skype.
  • Andrii suggests Jira (w/ Confluence) and David suggestsTiaga.io
    • hese are project management systems but designed for software development with specific features like issue tracking and support for agile methodology (sprints and whatnot)
    • THis is NOT what we need. We need generic project management software for organizing the entire organization (mostly for the business people)
    • We have been successfullly using Devjock and Github for this purpose (for years) no reason to change.
  • Basecamp was suggested b
    • The Tradeloop team has has many years experience with all three version.
    • This would work, but Basecamp kind of sucks and we’ve been trying to get rid of it for many reasons.

Proj Mgt Continued...

Remaining options:

    • Asana: Still looks the best for us
      • Widely used, many integrations.
      • Rohi will figure out the specific objections, which may have been a “set up” related problem not a specific Asana issue
    • Trello: Easier than Asan and cheaper. But a “kanban” based approach (boards) not a “list based” approach which may or may not be “better”
    • Monday.com - newer entrant, looks good, vastly fewer integrations. Not sure
