Motivation

Nepal is prone to natural disasters.

An EEWS reduces lives lost and ensures developmental resilience

Main Challenges:

  • Socioeconomic inequity
  • Limited information infrastructure
  • Limited coordination between governmental bodies

Goals:

  • Understand context w/ stakeholder mapping & problem analysis
  • Propose strategy for implementation of an EEWS in Kathmandu
