  • I graduated from Sam Houston State University.

BIRTHDAYS

We love birthdays, so let’s celebrate your child’s special day! We welcome you to bring birthday treats during lunch, but we ask if you do, to please bring enough treats for the entire 4th grade. There are currently 41 fourth graders.

*Party invitations may be handed out at school if ALL students in the grade are invited.

ATTENDANCE

Students may enter the school at 7:50 when the first bell rings. The second bell rings at 8:05. Any students arriving after 8:05 will need to be signed in at the office and will be marked tardy.

3 Tardies = ½ Day Absence

Please see MAKE UP WORK POLICY for absences!

Students will have as many days as they were absent to complete all absent work at home.

In the event your child is absent, makeup work will be collected throughout the day and placed on a clipboard/folder located at the front of the room. It is your child’s responsibility to get their makeup work upon entering class.

If you choose to get the work before the absence, the work is due when your child returns to school.

Late Makeup Work

Day 1 makeup work is not turned in, 20 points will be deducted.

Day 2 makeup work is not turned in, 40 points will be deducted.

Day 3 makeup work is not turned in, it will result in the assignment being a 0.

You are welcome to eat lunch with your child anytime! Please sign in at the front office and meet us in the cafeteria at 11:00.

Students will have the opportunity to eat a quick snack each day at the beginning of Block 3 - 1:50 PM.

Unless it is extremely cold or raining, we will go outside for recess! Please make sure your student has a jacket during the winter months.

When it is too cold or rainy outside, we will have indoor recess in the gym (if available) or the classroom.

COMMUNICATION

PARENT/TEACHER

Each week the website will be updated by the end of the day on Sundays. The website will contain important information about the upcoming week. You will find spelling words, projects, our weekly Bible verse, quiz and test dates at 4th.rcseaglesonline.org. There is also a secret wordat the bottom of the site that changes weekly. Students/Parents will copy the word from the website to the bottom of their conduct sheet. This website is your “go to” for quick information.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are schedule for September 22nd. Times for conferences will be scheduled closer to each date.

There are times throughout the year when extra help is needed! We are often busy with special projects, field trips, and other activities inside and outside of the classroom.

WHAT IS seRve?

seRve is the RCS Parent-Teacher Organization dedicated to serving our school. SeRve is excited to partner with the parents and grandparents of our Rosehill Christian School families.

WHAT DOES seRve DO?
