Introduction: A Daily Miracle

    • The Sun rises every day without fail.

​

    • It brings light, warmth, and life to Earth.

​

    • Muslims see the Sun not just as science but as a sign of Allah’s power.

Signs from Allah

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“And He has subjected to you the night and the day, and the Sun and the Moon…” (Qur’an 16:12)

​

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ وَٱلنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَٰتٌۢ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ ١٢

Reflection and Purpose

​

إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ ١٩٠

    • The Qur’an calls the Sun and Moon signs for those who think deeply (Qur’an 3:190).

​

    • Islam encourages reflection on creation to strengthen faith.

​

    • The Sun becomes a symbol that teaches lessons about life and worship.

​

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ ءَايَتَيْنِ ۖ فَمَحَوْنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَجَعَلْنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلنَّهَارِ مُبْصِرَةًۭ لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ فَصَّلْنَـٰهُ تَفْصِيلًۭا ١٢

    • The Sun follows a precise, ordered path every day.

​

    • Allah made night and day as two signs to measure time (Qur’an 17:12).

​

    • Muslims organize their lives like the Sun’s order, with discipline and balance.

أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِدُلُوكِ ٱلشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَقُرْءَانَ ٱلْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْءَانَ ٱلْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًۭا ٧٨

    • Prayer times remind Muslims of spiritual timing and structure.

    • Discipline in prayer builds discipline in daily life.

Allah Commands

    • “Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers at fixed times.” (Qur’an 4:103)

​

    • The Sun functions like a clock in the sky, guiding Muslims to be on time.

​

    • Routine in prayer builds focus, responsibility, and patience.

​

فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ فَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قِيَـٰمًۭا وَقُعُودًۭا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِكُمْ ۚ فَإِذَا ٱطْمَأْنَنتُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَـٰبًۭا مَّوْقُوتًۭا ١٠٣

    • Its steady service mirrors a believer’s dedication to Allah.

    • Allah reminds us that His blessings are countless (Qur’an 16:18).

​

    • وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ ١٨
    • A sincere Muslim works with effort and good intention, even if unnoticed.

True Dedication

إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمْ جَزَآءًۭ وَلَا شُكُورًا ٩

    • The Qur’an teaches us to do good for Allah’s sake alone (Qur’an 76:9).

​

    • Real devotion means consistency, not seeking praise.

​

    • The Sun’s constancy is a lesson in spiritual perseverance.

​

​

Morning and Evening Remembrance

​

    • The Prophet encouraged reciting adhkar in the morning and evening.

​

    • The Qur’an says, “Remember Allah often and glorify Him morning and afternoon” (Qur’an 33:41–42).

​

    • Dhikr turns ordinary moments into worship.

​

​

    • Just as the Earth depends on the Sun, humans depend completely on Allah.

​

    • Allah created the Sun and Moon to run in perfect orbits (Qur’an 21:33).

​

    • The Sun’s order reminds us of our need for our Creator.

​

​

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّۭ فِى فَلَكٍۢ يَسْبَحُونَ ٣٣

Turning to Allah

​

    • Allah controls all power and creation (Qur’an 13:2).

​

    • The Prophet said the Sun and Moon are signs of Allah.

​

    • Watching a sunrise or sunset is a perfect moment to make Dua.

​

​

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍۢ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ ٢

    • The Sun shares its light with everyone.

​

    • Muslims are called to share the light of Islam through Dawah.

​

    • Guided by kindness, wisdom, and gentle words (Qur’an 16:125).

​

​

Appreciate: Dawah

​

لِيَحْمِلُوٓا۟ أَوْزَارَهُمْ كَامِلَةًۭ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۙ وَمِنْ أَوْزَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُضِلُّونَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ ٢٥

Light Upon Light

    • “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the Earth.” (Qur’an 24:35)

​

    • Just as sunlight reaches all people, goodness should reach all hearts.

​

    • Dawah is done through character, not just words.

​

۞ ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشْكَوٰةٍۢ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ۖ ٱلْمِصْبَاحُ فِى زُجَاجَةٍ ۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌۭ دُرِّىٌّۭ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍۢ مُّبَـٰرَكَةٍۢ زَيْتُونَةٍۢ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍۢ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍۢ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌۭ ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍۢ ۗ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۭ ٣٥

    • Smile, show respect, and be honest.

​

    • Small actions can inspire others about Islam.

​

    • The Sun reminds Muslims to be a source of warmth and light in society.

​

Working with Excellence

    • The Sun demonstrates the 5 Ds: Discipline, Dedication, Dhikr, Dua, Dawah.

​

    • Its routine teaches order, consistency, remembrance, and outreach.

​

    • Each sunrise is a chance to renew faith and gratitude.

Conclusion

    • The Sun’s light guides life on Earth.

​

    • Let it also guide your heart toward Allah’s light.

​

    • Be disciplined, dedicated, prayerful, reflective, and kind

​

وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّۢ لَّهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ ٣٨
