Navigating Your Account

The Menu Bar allows you to navigate Schoology and find information about calendar items, student activity and groups. The name in the upper right hand corner indicates if you are viewing the parent or student account. Student Activity displays the most recent comments and submissions. On the right hand side is an integrated Calendar that shows upcoming events. The Courses tab allows you to see each class for your child and then the materials and resources available.

Setting Up Parent Notifications

You can receive notifications only for courses you are enrolled in, not your student. This may include Groups you have joined as a parent (clubs & sports at our school).

If you are interested in setting up email or text notifications for this, please visit the steps here.

The email contains:

  • The date range for which information is displayed.
  • Each of your children's names at the top of the email summary.
  • A summary of each course for the child, including:
  • The child's current grading period grade for each course.
  • Overdue submissions

**Please note, the most accurate record of a student’s grade is on PowerSchool, not Schoology.
