In small groups, introduce yourself and finish the following prompt….

Trainer Requests

• Be Present: you’ve come from near and far and given up several days to be here. Be present when you can whatever that means for you. If that means leaving to take a call or get a snack do so so that when you’re in this room, you can fully engage.
• See each other in our complexity: This work is hard and challenging moments may come up. Try to see each other’s humanity in those moments, and know that everyone here is here because they’re ready to try their best.
• Take care of yourselves and each other: Do what you need to do to take care of yourself. Help each other out, and if you need something, ask for help.

Trainer Requests

• Eyes on the prize: We’re here because profit obsessed corporations and the politicians who do their bidding have used, abused and discarded our communities in the name of profit and progress and we’re here to join together, take back our power and end the climate crisis by centering racial and economic justice. Let’s remember that everything is about that - above the minor frustrations we may feel with each other, above the differences we may have and the insecurities we may face - that is why we’re here.
• Let go: you will not get all the answers you want. You will not get to have all the conversations you want. We’ll still be okay!

Guidelines for the training

• We will be recording this training for your ongoing reference and for future trainings
• We have a team of supporters who are helping with the zoom technology
• We will remember to take breaks and re-center
• When/If you encounter internet problems, re-join with the phone number and use the WhatsApp app on your phone to post comments and questions
