  • All DLeaFs will take a deep dive into one Core Instructional Priority for the Fall and Spring of the 22-23 school year.
  • At each DLeaF meeting, you will have an opportunity to build, reflect, share, and contribute to your individual DLeaF Portfolio while also supporting each others’ learning.
  • At each DLeaF meeting, you will have an opportunity to work on your portfolio to prepare for your Exhibition of Learning during our last DLeaF meeting.

Exploration & Feedback:

  1. Select one of the Core Instructional Priorities - choose 3 resources from choice board to review or other Digital Learning Opportunities and add to Resource Reflection in Portfolio
  2. Create a plan for implementing the Core Instructional Priority with students and add to Summary in Portfolio
  3. Bring implementation idea to DLeaF meeting for Feedback

Implementation & Reflection:

  1. Implement idea with students in your classroom from choice board or digital opportunity
  2. Collect artifacts, documentation, and student work and add to Portfolio
  3. Reflect on implementation using prompts in Portfolio checklist

Prepare for Exhibition of Learning:

  • Pick one Core Instructional Priority portfolio entry to develop for your Exhibition of Learning
  • Choose a tool: Google Slides or Adobe Express Pages, see examples in Resources
  • Copy and paste your documentation and your reflection from your portfolio
  • NEW: Develop Student Work Examination from the Exhibition checklist
  • Present at Spring Celebration!!

Front Cover includes:

  • Copy and paste one of your Adobe Express pieces you built at the DLeaF Meeting onto the cover page or add a picture of your choice.

Resource Reflection Page includes:

  • Links to the 3 resources you reviewed for your Deeper Learning Core Instructional Priority or the Digital Learning Opportunity you attended and the resources you will be using
  • 1-2 paragraphs of writing or a 1-2 minute video explaining why you choose the resource and how it aligns with your implementation with students

Summary Page includes:

  • Describe how you will be implementing your chosen Core Instructional Priority in your learning space and the goals/objectives with students
  • Links to lesson plans or guides used

Documentation Page includes:

  • Images, video, or audio recordings that show what you implemented and how it showed up in your learning space
  • Links to any supporting documents
  • Screenshots or copies of exemplar student work and work from student(s) that did not meet your goal.

Reflection Page includes:

  • Reflect on if your students met or did not meet your goal(s).
  • In a minimum of 3 paragraphs or a 2-3 minute video, describe your experience with implementing your Core Instructional Priority
  • Think about how this work engaged your students in Deeper Learning. What did you notice? How did this work impact your students?

To ensure you complete each portfolio entry, use the checklist to review before submission.

As you build your portfolio entries, use the Exhibition of Learning Checklist to think through your documentation and reflection. .

Student Work Examination

  • Overview: Write a statement discussing your student work examples and the learning process for the selected focal students. Add any images, artifacts from the learning process, student guidelines that scaffolded the student work.
  • Met Goal - Write a statement about the student work example and how the specified student met the goals of the work.
  • Did Not Meet Goal - Write a statement about the student work example and how the specified student did not meet the goals of the work.
  • Reflections:
    • What did you notice about your focal students during this work?
    • What would you change the work to support the students who did not meet the goal?
    • What would you keep from this work?
    • How did this work change students’ engagement and attitude during this work?

Resources

  • Clearly written steps of your process so a colleague can follow and implement.
  • Helpful links to share to DLeaFs that want to get started.

Exhibition of Learning Checklist

Instructions:

In the Spring of 23, each DLeaF will share their work during the Exhibition of Learning. In alignment with the Deeper Learning Framework, DLeaFs have options in building out the Exhibition of Learning. You can build in either Google Slides or Adobe Express Pages.

Examples:

*DLeaFs will be compensated for their Exhibition creation. Google Slides, stipend $60 OR Adobe Express Pages stipend is $120.
