A Zero Waste and Sustainability Costume Party
@ Chabot Space & Science Center
THIS Sunday, October 29, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join us in costume on Sunday, October 29th from 11am-3pm for a fun and family-centered afternoon of “Spooktacular” Greeness. Get your face painted, explore the eerie but beautiful life of compost worms, create your own trick-or-treat bag from recycled materials, enjoy some tasty snacks, and more!
This event is being supported and co-led by Oakland Unified School District Secondary Teachers and Skyline High School Students, so get ready for some cool learning too. We’ll be exploring ways to make our OUSD school campuses greener and more climate friendly by checking them out from the sky through some drone footage as we listen to some cool eco-beats presented by the School of Rap and Planet MC. We’ll have many hands-on activities to explore. We hope to see you and your family (all dressed up!) on the 29th!
