STOP, NAME YOUR FEELING, CALM DOWN. Use those words to help your child regulate. We have been very successful in learning ways to problem solve this past month. Use the magic question: What do you want or need to help your child say a problem without blame. STEP is what we use to problem solve. The most important part is helping them use the “T” STEP, “Think of solutions that are safe, fair and solve the problem.” They have been great with their new skills!

We have been cruising through our problem solving unit. The students have been doing great with stating the problems without blame. They should all know the magic question by now. If they have a problem at home, ask them what they want and need. The rest of the year we will be exploring careers and career interests. They had a lot of fun with his unit in 4th grade and are excited to get started.

We have been working on our problem solving unit. Students use STEP to Say the problem without blame. (What do they want or need?). Think of solutions that are safe, fair, and solve the problem. Also, how to make a plan if the solutions requires a lot of steps to carry out. We will be focusing on Career Exploration for the remainder of the school year. This is always a fun unit!!

¡PARA, NOMBRA TU SENTIMIENTO, CALMA! Usa esas palabras para ayudar a tu hijo a regularizarse. Este último mes hemos tenido mucho éxito aprendiendo maneras de resolver problemas. Usa la pregunta mágica: ¿Qué quieres o necesitas para ayudar a tu hijo a expresar un problema sin culpar? El PASO es lo que usamos para resolver problemas. Lo más importante es ayudarlos a usar el PASO con la "T": "Piensa en soluciones seguras, justas y que resuelvan el problema". ¡Han estado genial con sus nuevas habilidades!

Hemos estado trabajando a la perfección en nuestra unidad de resolución de problemas. Los estudiantes han tenido un excelente desempeño al plantear los problemas sin culpar a nadie. Ya deberían saber la pregunta mágica. Si tienen algún problema en casa, pregúntenles qué quieren y necesitan. El resto del año exploraremos carreras e intereses profesionales. Se divirtieron mucho con esta unidad en 4.º grado y están emocionados por empezar.

Piensan en soluciones seguras y justas que resuelvan el problema. También, aprenden a elaborar un plan si la solución requiere muchos pasos. Nos centraremos en la Exploración de Carreras durante el resto del año escolar. ¡Esta unidad siempre es divertida!
