Cell Phone Policy

Same Policy, Updated Consequences

KEY OBSERVATIONS

  • Initial Compliance: Overall, most students followed the expectations of the policy early in the year.
  • Decline over Time: Feedback showed more students kept phones active or failed to store them at the start of the day as the year continued.
  • Referral Spikes: Discipline referrals increased in rate as compliance dropped.
  • Escalated Action: In the final 5 weeks, over 3% of students had their phones collected by Admin due to policy violations.
