(HBA)

2 of 7

WHAT IS IT?

A home for children who live rurally in the Mustang region in Nepal.

This home holds 70 children aged from 4 to 19.

They live in the city of Pokhara, away from their families for most of the year, so that they are able to get a quality education.

WHAT IS THE HOME LIKE?

Everyone is very loving and supportive. The kids take care of each other and consider themselves ‘one big HBA family’.

The kids serve all food themselves, wash their own clothes either in the river or under a tap, and study for more than 2 hours outside of school every day.

Saturday is their only full day off school.

WHAT WOULD THEY DO WITH OUR SUPPORT?

They are nearing completion of their NEW HOME! But cannot finish it and move in without more funding - from people like US!

The new home has :

  • At least 10 new bathrooms (instead of two).
  • Separate, indoor permanent spaces for dining and studying.
  • Smaller bedrooms (6 per room instead of 15).
  • Triple the kitchen space to prepare food for 80 people each day!

Thirsty?

With the money we raise from our mufti day we could purchase a filtered water tank - which they need for their new home!

Here is one they have had donated for their current home (silver, in the back), but they will need a new one when they move.
