  • Alternate program choices will only be considered after all primary program choices from the city of Toronto have been considered.

Application Process - Expression of Interest

Expression of Interests must make reference to or be directly connected to the Central Student Interest Program and the type of program(s) you have applied for. Please see possible options below.

  • Written submissions (Examples: blog, essay, opinion piece, poem, short story, script, etc.) that refers to the program(s) OR
  • Text-based submissions (Examples: PowerPoint, Canva, Mindmap, etc.) OR
  • Audio or video submissions contain student performance that is connected to the program(s) OR
  • Photographs/ digital versions of student artwork or projects accompanied by a brief description of the work and/or its meaning

Admissions to Programming

Centralized random selection process (lottery) will be used if there are more applicants than there are spaces in the program

Note: students who reside in the City of Toronto will be accommodated before students who reside outside of the city.

All students with a passion and interest are welcome in TDSB central student interest programs and schools.

Acceptances: Timelines

The random selection process will occur centrally and all communication will come from the Board. Please do not contact schools directly for selection results.

  • December 5, 2024 - Acceptances and waitlist status will be sent centrally, via email to all applicants. Offers expire December 11, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
  • December 12, 2024 - Second round of Acceptances and waitlist status will be sent centrally, via email to all applicants. Offers expire December 18, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
  • Offers will continue to be made in January until February 26, 2025. Central Waitlists will expire after this date.
