THE MISSION OF THE SCHOOL

    • The mission of the School "Ion Holban" Technical College Iași aims at the recovery, education and professionalization of students with physical disabilities, ensuring the same chances of socio-professional integration as students from mainstream education trained in the unit.

THE HISTORY

    • The school was founded in 1973, with the title of “Iași Disabled Girls School”
    • It became “School Center No. 2” in 1982. The school receives the name of “Ion Holban” School Cluster by Decree no. 8 of July 1, 1997.
    • Currently, the school was made into “Ion Holban” Technical College by OM no. 4702/29.07/2011

Hairdresser workshop

    • The school has a teaching staff made up of 108 teaching staff, auxiliary staff: 14 and non-teaching staff – 17.
    • Through its profile (integrative school center), our school has a complex educational offer for both students with disabilities and those from mainstream education.
    • Practical training is carried out in production workshops equipped with appropriate equipment, respecting the school curriculum, the entire activity in this sector being self-financed.

EUROPEAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE

  • The school received the “European School” certificate for the oustanding performances during the European cooperation activity and for the contributions made to the promotion and development of the European dimension of education.

  • In 2024 it received the title of “European School” once again, as part of it’s contributions in the European education space.

eTwinning SCHOOL

    • Our school is proud to be an active participant in the eTwinning program, an European initiative that promotes collaboration between schools through digital platforms. As part of this innovative project, we engage in cross-border learning experiences, exchange ideas, and work on joint projects with partner schools across Europe.

ECO-SCHOOL

    • The school actively participates in the World Eco-Schools program coordinated by the Carpato-Danubian Center for Geoecology (CCDG), the representative of the Foundation for Media Education (FEE) in Romania, and supported by international, national and local partners.

On November 30, 2023, the “Ion Holban” Technical College Iași became the first institution in the cycle of pre-university education decorated with the Order of “Merit for Education” in the rank of “Knight”
