  • Last All School Mass - Wednesday, May 21

Parents are invited to attend all of these services.�(Those on campus begin at 9:20 a.m. in the Great Hall.)

Senior Parent Information

The counselors and administration are going to ask for each senior’s merit scholarship results via a senior survey later in the year, so please keep scholarship information from your son or daughter’s college.

Commencement Speaker Process

  • It can be anyone in the class of 2025
    • Nominate themself or another student
  • Write a one page outline
  • Read anonymously - Top 5 chosen
  • Write full speech and perform for a panel of judges (fac/staff/students) - Scored on a rubric

Commencement - Friday, May 30

  • 6 announcements given after spring break - Jostens
  • 6 tickets will be given to each student
  • Caps, gowns, cords - given at graduation practice.
  • Commencement practice May 28 - 9 a.m. REQUIRED in the Haben.
  • Commencement May 30 at 7 p.m. in the stadium (baring bad weather)
  • Stadium opens at 6pm on May 30.
  • Students arrive no later than 6:15pm on May 30

Commencement - Dress Code

Female Dress Requirements:

  • A dress, skirt or long dress pants and blouse
  • Skirt or dress should not be longer than calf length
  • No shorts or capri or cropped pants
  • Natural, white, or no hose
  • Dress flats or dress sandals (sneakers, tennis shoes, clogs, “flip-flops,” or excessively high platforms are not acceptable)

Male Dress Requirements:

  • Long dress pants
  • Dress shirt with a collar
  • An appropriate tie
  • Dress shoes (sneakers, tennis shoes, or any open toe sandal are not acceptable)

Commencement - Friday, May 30

  • If rain, it will be in Haben.
    • 6 people max.
  • The school will take photos of each graduate.
  • Fee $150 charged to tuition
  • All obligations to tuition, return of uniforms, etc. must be completed by Monday, May 12.

After Commencement

  • Smoking cigars is not allowed.
  • Smoking age in MN is 21 and students can still be cited.
  • MSHSL rules still apply even after graduation.

BSM Senior Party

  • Immediately following graduation students change to comfortable clothing, grab a snack, board a bus and, per tradition, are taken to an undisclosed destination.
  • Closed toed shoes and Waiver
  • There will be lots of food and a variety of entertainment for the students.
  • Students need to leave all belongings, students can choose to bring their cell phones with them, at school or with their parents.

BSM Senior Party

  • Ticket prices will be around $50/student
  • All participating students will remain at the party until they are bused back to school returning at 2 a.m.
  • Look for registration information after spring break.
  • We also will be seeking some parent volunteers to help the night of the event, so look for those opportunities as we get closer to the event.

Attendance

  • Help prevent “Senioritis”
  • Need to be here - makes things easier for them (8 Absence Max)
  • Senior Privilege - BSM Hour
  • Seniors may NOT sign themselves out even after turning 18
  • Colleges are looking for a full transcript - finish strong!!

Skip a Final

  1. Passing with a C or higher
  2. No Tier II or Tier III discipline referrals in the last semester.
  3. No Unexcused Absences
  4. No more than 6 total absences
  5. No more than 9 total tardies to classes
