What I wanted..

  • Treated my time online presence like it was not one I could get paid for
  • Wanted to be an HR Professional and step around in my mini skirt suit, managing people
  • By studying Philosophy, I thought I did never have a thing to do with marketing and or mathematics for that matter

Where I found myself..

  • A frantic search for a space [online journal] to call home
  • A community of bloggers that became friends off WordPress.com
  • Infopreneurs calling the shots on the web
  • A request to offer support for a self hosted site
  • Another request to build a site
  • A curiosity to learn and a journey to WordPress began..

Where WordPress has gotten me to..

  • Understanding how the Web works
  • Getting paid for the time I spend on the web
  • Building relationships that cuts across borders
  • A different career path, one I never anticipated but also one that doesn’t feel like I am working because it is enjoyable
  • Being able to work from home
  • Being able to have something worth teaching and telling others about, something that I believe could change their lives as it did mine

So why give back?

Ask yourself one question

  • What does WordPress mean to you?

In that answer, you will find the reason you give back!
