Welcome Back to the 2023-2024 School Year!!! ��Those hazy, lazy summer days are slowly slipping away and it’s time for another fun-filled and exciting school year to begin at Sunnyside Elementary School! This year may be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, but I promise that I will do my best for both you and your child! My name is Angela Distler and I am proud to say that I am going to be your child’s third grade teacher this year!��Third grade will be a very important year in your child’s education! In our classroom, we will work together as a team and have fun while studying many interesting topics – from investigating, experimenting and observing in our new Science units to our national, state, and local government in Social Studies. By the end of the year, your child will have read countless chapter books as part of the 100 Book Challenge program, will have developed a love for writing, and will add multiplication and division facts to his/her accomplishments. Therefore, as you can see, we have an extremely busy year ahead of us! But, like I said – not to worry, it’ll be FUN!��In closing, I wish a fun-filled ending to the summer for your family! I hope to establish a strong communication between home and school this year that will promote educational success for your child! Please do not hesitate to call or email! I know the beginning of the school year is always super busy, and this year will be even more challenging than usual. We will be utilizing Google Classroom in addition to the hands on, engaging classroom activities. There are so many new activities for us to explore together!
