  • Students take on-screen exams in five subjects: Mathematics, Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Sciences, Individuals and Societies

  • Interdisciplinary Learning - combination of Math and I&S - this will change each year - announced April 1st

  • Will revolve around one global context - announced Nov 1st
  • Onscreen examinations are held in May 6-17 th
  • (2 hours long).

The IB will award the IB MYP Certificate to registered candidates who have:

  • participated in the programme for a minimum of one year (MYP Grade 10)

  • completed the eAssessment external examinations for a minimum of five subjects: language and literature Arabic, Language and Literature English or Language Acquisition Arabic, Individuals and Societies, Integrated Sciences, Mathematics

  • submitted an ePortfolio of coursework from Art or Design
  • Personal Project is considered an ePortfolio

The IB will award the IB MYP Certificate to registered candidates who have:

  • completed the interdisciplinary onscreen examination

  • submitted the personal project

  • met the expectations for service as action.

  • gained at least 28 points overall*

*a grade of 1 or 2 for any subject, the interdisciplinary onscreen exam or the personal project means students will not be eligible for the certificate

The IB will award the IB MYP Bilingual Certificate to registered candidates who have:

The IB MYP Bilingual Certificate is awarded to candidates who also achieve an IB-validated grade 3 or higher in:

    • two language and literature courses or

    • a course in any MYP subject group (other than Language acquisition), or interdisciplinary learning, or the personal project, in a response language that is not the same as that chosen language and literature.

What is ePortfolio?:

  • The IB will release a Global Context in November to provide a lens of focus.
  • The IB releases partially completed unit planners for Design, Arts, and PHE
  • Students will begin to work on the ePortfolios with guidance of the teacher.
  • All work will be due in IBIS - eCoursework by April 20th
