#2: Insert Links for Students to View

  1. Create a textbox by clicking this icon.

  • Type in the textbox what you want students to see the link as.
    1. For example, you could type “American History video”.

  • Then, highlight the text by clicking and dragging along the words.

  • Use your mouse or touchpad to “RIGHT CLICK” on the highlighted words.

  • Click and copy and paste the website you want students to access!

#3: Use your Snipping Tool to Paste Pictures/Text/Worksheets

On a Windows computer:

  1. Go to your search bar at the bottom of your screen.

  • Type in “Snipping Tool” into the search bar.

  • Click on so the Snipping Tool appears on your taskbar.

  • Then, click on the icon and click “New”. Drag the screen to choose what you want to “snip”!

  • Press FILE > SAVE AS > Save it to where you would like!

#4: Copy and Paste the “Snipped Picture” into your Slides with this keyboard shortcut

If you don’t want to save your “snipped picture” and just want to copy and paste it into your Google Slides, follow the steps here:

  • Once you have “snipped” your picture, press (to copy).

  • Then, open your Google Slides page, and

press (to paste).

#5: Customize the Size of Slides

  1. To make the size of each slide the same size as a piece of paper, go to:
    1. FILE > PAGE SETUP > CUSTOM
    2. Type in your preferred

#6: Create Digital Worksheets

  1. Create a new Google Slide presentation.

  • Name the worksheet to save your document.

  • Change the sharing settings >

  • Customize the size of the pages to be the size of a piece of paper (refer to slide 8).

  • Find a worksheet you want to use and “snip” a picture of it. Refer to slide 5 for directions on how to snip a picture and save it. Be sure to save it!

6) Now that you’ve saved the image, click on the slide you want to use. Click on on the top toolbar.

7) Click on “Choose Image”.

8) Click “Browse” to find the worksheet you saved.

9) Once you have found the worksheet,

click on it and press “Open”.

10) The worksheet will now be “GLUED” to the background of the page

so students will not be able to move it!

11) Now, you can insert text boxes for students! Be mindful of the font size

you use and how big you make the text boxes!

Click on the tool at the top and click

on the space where you want students to

type their answer. I typically write out the

word: “Type” so students know there is a text

box there.

12) Now that you have your worksheet ready to use, you can assign it to

students in Google Classroom. See the next few slides for directions.
