Mrs. Lori Savidge- Full Day Kindergarten

This is my 32nd year teaching! I went to Kutztown University for both my undergraduate and graduate studies in early childhood education. I have also completed many credits beyond my Master’s degree, mostly in the area of computer applications. My husband and I are the happy parents of our 24 year old twins, Logan and Lance, who recently became licensed Physical Therapists. In my spare time I enjoy reading, kayaking, traveling and spending time at my home in Florida!

Students are able to earn “points” for good behavior as a class. I use a grid and place magnetic circles on the grid as they exhibit good behavior. Points are taken away for “unwise” choices. If students earn 10 points before the end of the day they will be able to choose a prize from the prize box. If students earn more than 10 points they are able to choose a prize and the “extra” points are transferred over to the next day. Prizes are rewarded for groups of 10 points. Each day begins at zero points unless there are transfer points from the day before.

Sometimes individual students may require a “personalized” behavior program. This will be discussed with parents before it is put in place.
