لغوياً: (( مكّنه )) بمعنى جعله قادراً على فعل شيء معين - “ صار أكثر قدرة عليه ، ....”متمكن من العلم أو من مهارة تأدية مهنة معينة“ بمعنى متقناً للعلم أو للمهنة».

لكِنَّكُمْ سَتَنَالُونَ قُوَّةً مَتَى حَلَّ الرُّوحُ الْقُدُسُ عَلَيْكُمْ، وَتَكُونُونَ لِي شُهُودًا فِي أُورُشَلِيمَ وَفِي كُلِّ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ وَالسَّامِرَةِ وَإِلَى أَقْصَى الأَرْضِ».، )أع 1: 8-9)
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1: 8)
The Story of Salvation .. a story of re-empowerment �قصة الخلاص هي قصة تمكين
“God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.“(Genesis 1:26-28)
”...وبارَكَهُمُ اللهُ وقال لهُمْ .. أَثمِروا وأكثُرُوا واملَأُوا الأَرْضَ وأَخضِعُوهَا وتَسًلَّطوا علي سَمَكِ البَحرِ وعلي طَيرِ السَّماءِ وعلي كُلِ حَيًوانٍ يَدِبُ علي الأرضَ“(تك 26:1 - 28).
To Adam he said, "Because you ..ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
وَقَالَ لِادَمَ: «لانَّكَ سَمِعْتَ لِقَوْلِ امْرَاتِكَ وَاكَلْتَ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ الَّتِي اوْصَيْتُكَ قَائِلا: لا تَاكُلْ مِنْهَا مَلْعُونَةٌ الارْضُ بِسَبَبِكَ. بِالتَّعَبِ تَاكُلُ مِنْهَا كُلَّ ايَّامِ حَيَاتِكَ. (تك 3:17)

“ Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
”إِذًا إِنْ كانَ أحَدٌ في المسيحِ فهو خَليقَهٌ جَديدَهٌ، الأَشياءُ العَتيقَهُ قد مَضَتْ، هُوذَا الكُلُّ قد صارَ جديدًا“ (2كو 17:5).
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
أَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ أَتَيْتُ لِتَكُونَ لَهُمْ حَيَاةٌ وَلِيَكُونَ لَهُمْ أَفْضَلُ. (يو 10:10 )

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed, To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.“(Luke 4:18-19)
”رُوحُ الرَّبِ عليَّ لأنَّهُ مَسَحَني لأُبَشّرَ المَساكِينَ أَرْسَلَنِي لأَشْفِيَ المُنكَسِري القُلُوبِ لأُنادي لِلمأسُورينَ بالإِطلاقِ ولِلعُميِ بالبَصَرِ وأُرسِلَ المُنسَحِقِينَ في الحُرِّيهِ، وأَكرِزَ بِسَنَهِ الرَبَ المَقْبولهِ“(لو 18:4- 19).

Old Testament? في العهد القديم
“He who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor Will also cry himself and not be answered” (Proverbs 21:13).
”من يسُدُ أُذُنَيهِ عَنْ صْرَاخِ المِسكينِ...فهو ايضًا يَصْرُخُ ولا يُستَجابُ“(ام 13:21).
“One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, And He will repay him for his good deed” (Proverbs 19:17).
”من يَرْحَمُ الفقيرَ يُقرِضُ الربَ .. وعن معروفِهِ يُجازِيهِ“ (ام 17:19).
“How blessed is he who considers the helpless; The LORD will deliver him in a day of trouble” (Psalms 41:1).
”طوبي للًذي ينظُرُ الي المِسكِينِ .. في يَومِ الشًرِ يُنَجِيهِ الرَبُ“(مز 1:41).

“Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you ... For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me. Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.‘” (Matthew 25:31-40)
”تَعالوا يَا مُبارَكي أبي رِثُوا المَلكوتَ المُعَدَ لَكُمْ ... لأنَي جُعْتُ فَأطْعَمْتُموني، عَطِشتُ فَسقيتُموني، كُنْتُ غَريبًا فَاويتُموني، عُريانًا فَكَسوتُموني، مَريضًا فَزُرتُموني، مَحبوسًا فَأتَيتُم اليّ ... الحَقُ أقولُ لكُم بما أنّكُم فَعلتُموهُ بأحدِ إخوتي هوُلاءِ الأصاغِرِ فِبي فَعَلتُم“(متي 31:25-40)
"Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? …“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself”. (Luke 10:25-37)
”... يَا مُعَلّمُ ماذا أعمَلُ لأرِثَ الحياهَ الأبَدِيّهَ ... تُحِبُ الرَبَ إلهَكَ مِن كُلِ قَلبِك ومِن كُلِ نَفسِكَ ومِن كُلِ قُدرَتِكَ ومِن كُلِ فِكرِكَ وقَرِيبَك مِثلَ َنفسِكَ ...“(مثل السامري الصالح - لوقا 25:10 -37) .
“The Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world”. (James 1:27)
”الدِيانهُ الطاهِرَهُ النَقيّه عِندَ الله الابِ هي هَذِهِ .. افتِقادُ اليتامي والأرامِلِ في ضِيقَتِهِمْ ...“(يع 27:1).
“If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself”. (James 2:15-17)
”إنْ كان أخٌ وأختٌ عُريانَينِ ومُعْتازَيْنِ لِلقوتِ اليوميّ، فقالَ لَهُما أَحَدُكٌمُ امضِيا بِسلامِ، استدفِئا واشبَعا، ولكن لم تُعْطوهُما حاجاتِ الجَسَدِ فَما المَنفَعَهُ. هكذا الإيمانُ أيضًا، إن لَم يكن لهُ أعمالٌ مَيَتٌ في ذاتِهِ“(يع 15:2-17).
“We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren”. (1 John 3:16-18)
”بهذا قد عَرَفْنا المحبّهَ .. أنَ ذاكَ وَضَعَ نَفْسَهُ لأجلِنا .. فَنَحْنُ يَنْبَغي لنا أنْ نَضَعَ نُفُوسَنا لأجلِ الإخوَهِ“(1يو 16:3-18).

"So the twelve summoned the congregation of the disciples and said, it is not desirable for us to neglect the word of God in order to serve tables. Therefore, brethren, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task”. (Acts 6:1-8)
”... فَدَعَا الاِثنا عَشَرَ جُمْهورَ التلاميذِ وقالوا .. لايُرضِي أنْ نَترُكَ نَحنُ كَلِمَهَ اللهِ ونَخدِمَ مَوَائِدَ، فانتَخُبوا أيُها الإخوَهُ سبعَهَ رِجالٍ مِنكُم مَشهودًا لَهُم ومَملوّينَ مِن الرُوحِ القُدُسِ وَحِكمَهٍ فنُقيمَهُمْ علي هذِهِ الحاجَهِ...“(أع 1:6- 8).
“Did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom … If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well”. (James 2:2-9)
”... أما اختارَ اللهُ فُقَراءَ هذا العالمِ أغنياءَ في الإيمانِ وورثَهَ الملَكوتِ ... فإنْ كُنْتُمْ تُكَمِلونَ الناموسَ المُلوكيّ حَسَبَ الكِتَابِ، تُحِبُ قَريبِكَ كَنَفْسِكَ، فَحَسَنًا تَفْعَلونَ ... “(يع 2:2 - 9).
“ Contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.” (Romans 12:13)
”مُشْتَرِكينَ في احتِياجاتِ القِديسينَ، عَاكِفينَ علي إضَافَهِ الغُرَباءِ“ (رو13:12).

العمل قيمه انسانيه، الله يطلبها ويباركها ..
“He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need”. (Ephesians 4:28)
He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who pursues worthless things lacks sense. (Proverbs 12:11)
The hand of the diligent will rule, But the slack hand will be put to forced labor. A lazy man does not roast his prey, But the precious possession of a man is diligence. (Proverbs 12:24-27)

Basic principles for development from a Christian perspective مبادئ أساسية في التنميه من المنظور المسيحي
1. Development is a Divine concept and a Biblical commandment.
التنمية فكر الهي ووصية كتابية.
2. The human being is the target and the means of development ( the message of Jesus: a better life).
الإنسان هو غاية ووسيلة التنمية (رساله المسيح: الحياه الافضل).
3. Development is an essential need for every person and not only for the needy.

4. The concept of poverty is not limited to the ‘income poverty’, but to the “capability poverty” ‘lack of potential’.

Jesus cared for all human needs: Spiritual, Social and Physical, He is the best Human Development Servant.
When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them (social care) and spoke to them of the kingdom of God (spiritual care) and cured those who had need of healing (physical care). (Luke 9: 11)
