PERSONAL ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETENCIES (PECs)

• OBJECTIVES: At the end of this learning session, you are expected to:
• Identify different Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies relevant to Illustration and Visual Graphic Designing;
• Appreciate the importance of aligning one’s PECs according to career choice;
• Create a plan of action to ensure success in your business or career choice

ALL-AROUND-THE-WORLD REVIEW

• The class will be divided into four groups.
• Each group will represent a particular country (Philippines, Egypt, USA, and China).
• The teacher will choose a group to answer the review questions through the currency of the assigned country, the group should respond through their yell in the language of the country assigned to them. (That’s our question!)

• Competency – an ability or skill.
• Entrepreneur – a person with the skills and capabilities to see and evaluate business opportunities. They are individuals who can strategically identify products or services needed by the community, and have the capacity to deliver them at the right time and the right place.
• Entrepreneurship - this is not just a simple business activity but a strategic process of innovation and new product creation. Basically, entrepreneurship is both an art and science of converting business ideas into marketable products or services to improve the quality of living.
• People Skills – the ability to communicate with people in a friendly way, especially in business.

• Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PECs) refer to the important characteristics that should be possessed by an individual in order to perform entrepreneurial functions effectively. ��In this module, you will learn the most important characteristics, attributes, lifestyles, skills and traits of a successful entrepreneur.

• HARDWORKING. One of the most important characteristics or attributes of a good entrepreneur. This means working diligently and being consistent about it. Hardworking people keep improving their performance to produce good products or provide good services.
