    • Estimate approximate savings

Benchmarking

  • A benchmark is a standard by which something can be measured or judged.
  • Once you have calculated your building’s EUI, you can use it to benchmark your building. Benchmarking allows you to compare the energy performance against similar facilities or an established level of performance.

  • In order to benchmark it is very important to compare apples with apples. It will do you no good to benchmark a building in California against data based on a building in Colorado or Oregon.
