  1. Working through the data plan together
  2. Getting some clarification on the requirements for the data plan, including some examples of how to tackle this project.
  3. Clarification of roles and time commitments in this position.

  5. Just hearing others' ideas about completing section two of the data plan.

WELCOME DATA CHAMPIONS! 

Welcome Data Champions!  

The newsletter will be sent to Data Champions to share key information, successes, upcoming events, and helpful resources. Please feel free to share relevant information with your team. If you have any resources or successes you would like to share, please let us know.  

We will send newsletters on a monthly basis as a method of network-wide communication, but you should always feel free to reach out with questions or concerns. 

KEY DATES 

November 18th 3:00 – 4:30pm ET (Virtual) 

Data Champion Monthly Meeting:  

This meeting will focus on the data plan, giving Data Champions space to share their progress, discuss challenges & successes, and devote some focused work time on data plan completion.  

December 5th 3:00 – 5:00pm ET (Virtual) 

YWM Ascendium Pathways - Workshop 3: Work-based Learning Models 

This workshop will offer a deeper introduction to work-based learning, as well as best practices, strategies for leveraging existing programming, employer engagement approaches, and specific models for institutions to consider.  

December 31st  Data Plan Draft Due 

A friendly reminder that a first draft of your data plan is due at the end of this year. You should already have links to your institution’s draft from the last round of DC Quarterly meetings, held over the summer, but please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Each DC should already have a working version of their institution’s data plan, but please feel free to use the above template if needed. Please also reach out if you need access to your college’s data plan.

This step-by-step guide serves as a resource for colleges and intermediaries looking to adopt an equity lens for employer engagement efforts. We propose a new approach for industry partnerships that centers student needs and outcomes, emphasizing job quality and equitable economic advancement above all else. Additionally, we provide reflection questions and a fillable action plan as supports for institutions implementing an equity-focused employer engagement strategy.
