Overview of Parkchester Watch Group

  • The Parkchester Watch Group consist of residents living in Parkchester Condominiums, located in the Parkchester section of the Bronx. We have contacted Parkchester's North and South Condominium on-site Management offices to discuss major quality of life issues that exist in our community; some of those issues are listed below We have also contacted local and state agencies seeking guidance and assistance addressing the quality-of-life issues residents of Parkchester North and South Condominium are facing. We have contacted the offices of the Borough President, the New York State Senator, the New York Attorney General and the Public Advocate's office, seeking guidance and assistance. So far, we have received some guidance, but are looking to expand our outreach hoping to address and correct the quality-of-life issues.

  • Our goal is to organize residents to address, examine/review issues and make realistic recommendations to management for the improvement of basic vital services in the Parkchester complex.

  • The quality-of-life issues affect approximately 40,000 people who live in more than 12,000 apartments. Renters and Owners are left with a hard choice to leave the homes they have lived in for decades; many of whom are on a fixed income and are elderly and disabled. The quality-of-life issues not only impact the quality of the living conditions, but it also impacts the value of the apartments purchased by Owners.
