Epsilon: Delta 6
XBOX 360: Kinect
EPSILON: DELTA 6
The American Government has been keeping the Island of Astoria a secret, and for many reasons. A Scientist by the name of George Russo, a Spanish neuro brain surgeon and scientist, finally thought he had found the cure for all brain damage through stem cell research in 1994. However, it had extreme side effects and eventually turned his patients into flesh eating zombies.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
The injection that Russo had formulated for brain damage reconstruction would accelerate the cells multiplying process and regenerate new cells to help the damaged ones. When the formula finally repaired all the damaged cells and regenerated new ones, the injection was successful... for about a week or so. The cells kept multiplying and wouldn't stop, thus resulting in abnormal cell body counts. The patient would suffer from brain cancer that spread at fatal speeds.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
The Patients would die in a matter of days, but reports showed that even upon death, the cells would keep multiplying and eventually send messages back to the brain. The dead who were once "dead", are now back up and living. The messages they receive from their brain is to feed. To feed on anything that moves with a pulse. Scientist George Russo then moved his research and studies to the island Astoria.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
George Russo then researched on the zombies trying to find a way to revert the process and hopefully turn the zombies back into normal humans. By 1999 Russo had done it. he finally got his zombie patients to revert back into humans... or so he thought. The "Hybrids" what he called them, the once dead, can now function and listen to commands. However, they have no thought process and can't make decisions by themselves. They still had the instinct to eat anything that moved but only if they were hungry.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
Russo found out that this could be kept under control if they were fed every hour. Any meat would do. By 2005, George Russo had declared to the American Government that his studies were conclusive and no longer unstable. 11 science companies came to Astoria to verify the research. By 2008, after various inspections, the government started building cities and settling in volunteered scientists. By 2010, President Obama announced Astoria to the wealthy public. People like senators, doctors, engineers, etc.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
They started a community and everyday they took surveys so the researchers could see how they dealt living with the hybrids. They loved it! Dr. Rosenberg had commented "whenever I don't feel like mowing my lawn, I tell my hybrid to do it. All in exchange for a raw piece of meat!" By 2012, President Obama announced Astoria as the 51st state to the United Nations. 2013 rolled by and Astoria was publicly announced to everyone.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
Everyone knew about the zombies and their slave like tendencies, some people loved it and moved to the island while others were disgusted or frightened. By 2014, zombies had escaped their owners and infected them. However, these zombie attacks were so small and common that society thought of them as criminals committing crimes, not as flesh eating zombies. There was a problem though, more and more owners were turning into zombies because they were irresponsible and didn't feed their hybrids.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
The local police became overwhelmed with not only trying to contain the hybrids but the zombies as well. This is where Epsilon: Delta 6 comes in. George Russo wasn't stubborn, he knew that if his research came out of hand, he needed to depend on highly trained men to annihilate the zombies and hybrids. George Russo didn't trust the military because they were too big and they have no training against highly infectious targets in a densely populated area. "Sure they kill them, but with high collateral damage" is what Russo always said.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
His main concern other than property damage was that if a whole military platoon got attacked and they got infected, then that would be 12 or more zombies in body armor and explosives. So back in 2000, Russo hired the best military soldier he could find in the U.S. William Sandoval, was the best of the best and just what Russo needed. He told Sandoval to hire 3 more soldiers and to train them to be part of the team Delta 6. They would be like the S.W.A.T. of our police department.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
Lieutenant Colonel William Sandoval was 18 when he first joined the Army Rangers. He was contracted for 2 years until he branched off into a Marine Rifleman. He stayed there for another 4 years then branched off yet again to the Navy SEAL's for 6 years until Russo contacted him. Lt Col. Sandoval agreed and recruited 3 of the best men he knew. Major Jonathan Garcia was Sandovals right hand man. He was an Army Mechanic for 7 years and branched off into the Navy SEAL's for 5 years where he met Sandoval.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
In search for someone who knew a lot about air control and assault, they recruited Captain Clyde Thompson. He was in the Air Force for 8 years, but he was the best fighter pilot in America. Cpt. Thompson had been on several missions with another Captain named Scot Davis who was a Marine Sniper for 6 years and a Paratrooper for the AirForce for 5 years. They were both recruited into Delta 6. All these men were already highly trained, however, they still had a lot of training to do for the "Hybrids" and Zombies.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
Sandoval had them training all day in Astoria and getting them ready. By 2010 they were effective and started taking missions for Russo. Whenever the police couldn't handle a situation, Delta 6 would come in and clean up. In 2014, Russo set up an Electrical Intelligence and called it Epsilon. Delta 6 would now get all their intel from Epsilon. The intel would never fail them. Delta 6 would do search and rescue missions as well as search and eliminate. They had full access to various weapons and vehicles.
EPSILON: DELTA 6
Some missions they needed to use aircraft to sterilize a large area. Mainly they did stealth missions to not alert other zombies and hybrids when they were rescuing people. In 2015, rioters started coming to Astoria and letting the zombies and hybrids out and caused widespread chaos that only Delta 6 could fix.
