Instructional Excellence:Preparing Students for Life

Reading Goal: By June 2025, C & L McDougle Middle School will increase EOG reading proficiency across all student groups, aiming for a minimum of a 5% increase from the 2023-2024 target for each group. Specifically, our goal is to reach or exceed 31% proficiency for SWD, 44% proficiency for Black and Latinx students, and 23.2% proficiency for MLL students. This approach aligns with our commitment to gradual, sustainable progress toward overall proficiency for all student groups.

Math Goal: By June 2025, C & L McDougle Middle School will increase EOG math proficiency across all student groups. Specifically, our goal is to reach or exceed proficiency for 35.5% SWD, 48.5% proficiency for Black students, 47.5% proficiency for our Latinx students, and 23.3% proficiency for MLL students. This approach aligns with our commitment to gradual, sustainable progress toward overall proficiency for all student groups.

Reduction of Discipline Referrals/Discipline Disproportionality Goal

By June 2025, reduce the rate of disciplinary referrals for black and hispanic students by 10% compared to the 2023-2024 baseline, ensuring that no subgroup referral rate exceeds 10% of their total enrollment.

School Culture Goal

By June 2025, all student groups will decrease their chronic absenteeism rate by 5% compared to June 2024.

Strengthening Family and Community Engagement

By June 2025, C&L McDougle Middle School will host 2 academic FACE events and 5 multicultural FACE events.

Empowering, Equipping and Investing in Our People

All teaching staff will experience an increase in planning time of over 60 minutes per day for 3/4 quarters as compared to last school year.
