The importance

When lesson planning, it is important to identify what will be required of students throughout the lesson. After you identify what is required, you are then able to identify what challenges or barrier students with diverse needs may face when accessing your lesson materials and information. As educators, we must ensure that all students are able to receive an accessible and appropriate education.

On the next slide, we will begin to identify UDL solutions and assistive technology that can be used to assist students with accessing the requirements of the phonics lesson.
