Attendance

Now is the time to establish GREAT attendance habits!

  • Only miss if your student is truly sick.
  • Avoid scheduling appointments or trips during the school day.
  • Lean on those nightly bedtime routines to set your morning up for success.
  • Reach out to your child’s teacher if they are displaying school avoidant behaviors.

What is Immersion?

04

05

06

There is always a moment of hesitation or of apprehension, but through songs, games, repetitions the students start grasping the big ideas. They do not understand the process but they are remembering some words that allow them to get the gist of it.

Immersion is learning the language without realizing that you are learning it.

The students will also develop their ability to use other strategies/ context clues to find out what the teacher is trying to say: “What are the others doing?” “What is the picture showing? “

But my student doesn’t understand what the teacher is saying!
