  • How can I contribute?
    • Student survey
    • HEIs survey
    • Ministry survey

Rationale

Rationale

Students with a disability represent only 0.14% of the beneficiaries in Erasmus+mobilities for Higher Education studies and traineeships

Rationale

  • Different stakeholders experience specific barriers
  • Lack of:
    • Actual and reliable information on the available regulations, funding, and support services
    • Quality of support services and difficulties with support transferability
    • A sustainable and integrated policy on inclusive mobility, predominantly on how to support incoming students with a disability

Rationale

  • Bologna Report 2018 – Paris Communique 2018: clear commitments
    • Improving attention to the mobility participation of students with disabilities throughout EHEA
    • Developing policies that encourage a more cohesive and inclusive society
  • Flemish Ministry and SIHO
    • Surveys with Flemish institutions
    • Advice from Flemish Education Council
    • Need for collaboration across countries in Europe

The project

The project

Publish a policy report on existing national regulations on Inclusive Mobility

Publish policy recommendations on how to implement a sustainable Framework on Inclusive Mobility at European/national/ regional/ institutional level

Create a guideline on Inclusive Mobility to stimulate higher education institutions to implement a sustainable inclusive mobility strategy at institutional level

The project

Create a self-assessment tool for national authorities and higher education institution to monitor policies on inclusive mobility around Europe and compare their own position

Develop an online platform inclusivemobility.eu where everything is to be found about Inclusive Mobility for national authorities, practitioners and students with disabilities

! Connected to the existing MappED! Platform, national authorities will be able to register their information on regulations, policies and support services

The outcomes will stimulate

  • A common understanding/framework on inclusive mobility
  • A better and in-depth collaboration of the different stakeholders (European Commission, national authorities, national agencies, policy officers, international relation officers, disability officers, students with disabilities)
  • Ensure/increase the quality and transferability of support services among European countries
  • In the long-term, an increase of students with disabilities participating in international exchange programmes
