Life Cycle

  • The axolotls are in the eggs and about to hatch
  • 3 or 4 weeks later they are born and very small
  • 5 or 6 months later they are fully grown and about 9 inches
  • They can live up to 15 years

Habitat

  • Axolotls live in manly water
  • And also live in lake Xochimilco and in lake Chalco
  • And in tanks

What Animal Group are they in

  • They are in the salamander group
  • Their closest relative is a tiger salamander and a mole salamander
